Changes with SI Notifications & Certified Copies Effective Immediately
 CALIFORNIA -- The Secretary of State will no longer mail Statement of Information (SI) forms to businesses. Instead, a reminder postcard will be sent in lieu of the forms to notify businesses to file their annual or biennial SI and the forms will be made available online. Appropriate due dates and instructions for filings will be included on the postcard.
Other changes include more stringent demands for certified copies to adhere to the automated project underway at the Secretary of State. Effective immediately, copies will only be certified if they are deemed to be complete including any required attachments. All copies must duplicate the original that is filed, including any attachments such as good standing certificates, consent letters, attorney general letters, etc. Incomplete copies received will be returned and certified copies will then need to be ordered.
Furthermore, if a dissolution document is submitted over-the-counter without complete copies attached, the customer will not receive any copies. The terminated status can be found on the California Business Search within one week of processing the document. If the customer would like a copy or copies they must include a request at the time of submitting the dissolution document along with the appropriate fee. |

NEW MEXICO -- The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission has issued a notice detailing requests made by corporations and LLCs for expedited filing services.
The following services are now available:
Same-day: $300 and must be received by 2:00 pm MT
Two business days:
$200
(the filing fee is not included in the above costs)
Please note that the expedited process does not guarantee an approved filing and the new services do not apply to Limited Partnerships.
